It is a village group of small size that came out of Awgunta, one of the towns of the Anike group (No. 20).
The group lies on the plains of southern Nkanu, which were settled westward out of the eastern uplands, largely from that uplands' southern part and from Abaja Udi. It has no towns within Awgu, and Forde & Jones report no other tradition.
