The founder of Obowo (No. 15) is claimed for its village group Ihiteafouku.
Its towns are the six members as Okparanadim, Mpam and Ihiteafouku, then Umuokrika, Obohia and Ekwereazu itself. Forde & Jones record no origin tradition for the clan as a whole.
Forde & Jones set down the one tradition that touches it under Obowo (No. 15), whose founder is claimed either for Ihiteafouku here or for Abaja Isu of Isu-Orlu (No. 1), the two claims being disputed.
