Its towns are Nara and Nomeh, which are kin to each other, together with Nkerefi, which came from Ezza of the North-Eastern Igbo, and Mburubu, which came from Lengwe (No. 37).
The group is thus a composite of local communities of different derivations, one of them from outside the Northern Igbo; which of the four is the parent community is not recorded. Palm oil and kernels were also shipped out by rail from Nomeh. It is counted among the settlements of the southern Nkanu plains, which were peopled westward from the uplands to the east.
