It takes in Nsukwa and nine smaller village groups and villages, derived from groups to the north and west.
It is Nsukwa together with nine other small village groups and villages, in a thinly peopled district, and says the group is derived from groups lying to its north and west.
Nsukwa belongs to the Northern Ika, whom the people of Onitsha know as Nnuani, a name read as 'highland people'. Each of the communities has a village head, the Obi, with a council known as the Onuto and the Olinzele beside him. Yams are the staple crop, some districts growing a surplus for sale, and the trade in palm oil and kernels is small.
