Ogba is the clan, and Omoku is its principal town.
It is divided into three clans, Egi, Osomini and Iburu. Omoku, described as a large trading town, has thirty-seven small village groups, villages and settlements.
Oba and Ekpeya look very unlike each other and unlike the other Riverain Igbo groups. Oba also belongs among those between the Orashi and Sombreiro rivers that once recognised the overlordship of Aboh.
