Two groups in the registry are called Ogboli, and this entry is the Elugu one of the Nsukka country; the other is the Ogboli of Anioma, west of the Niger.
Ogboli is a clan made up of Oguruguru and three small local communities, and Adani is a single village group.
The Ogboli group, together with Enugu-Ezike, is the most northerly of the Elugu settlements. Such settlements are autonomous units, and apart from villages in the north-east that trace their ancestors to various Nsukka communities the group is credited with no tradition of migration from elsewhere.
