Ihite

Recorded in Imo (Anambra, Imo). A place page gathers every related history, image, recording and document rather than opening only one article.

Histories about Ihite

The archive links no published history to Ihite yet. Its neighbours’ histories are not shown here, because a link to another community is not a history of this one.

Histories that mention Ihite

These are published records whose own words name Ihite. A mention is not a history of Ihite, which is why they are listed here rather than with the histories about it.

Read as: Ihite. Counted where the name is written with a capital, because a lower-case occurrence of a name that is also an ordinary word is the word.

Ihite and Umuhu (C. No. 1) were once two divisions of a single clan, until Umuhu crossed the Imo. The group now consists of Ihite-Aminyi and five smaller village groups, and it holds that the founder of the two divisions came from Umueze (No. 5).
